Contest Details
· This tournament will be played on the Xbox360
· Each band may contain as many members as they want and may play at any difficulty level.
· Bands are allowed to have a band member sing and play an instrument at the same time.
· There will a qualifying round, consisting of one pre-selected song, to rank all bands.
· After all bands are ranked, double elimination, bracket-style tournament play begins.
All Rounds Before Finals
· Best 2 out of 3 songs wins.
· Higher ranked band chooses song first, lower ranked band chooses second.
· In the event of a tie, tournament staff chooses tie-breaking song
· After all bands are ranked, the top 4 teams will move to the final playoff

· Each band picks two songs. Both bands play all four songs.
· Final score will be taken from three things: Total Raw Score, Stage Presentation & Audience Participation
NOTE: Bands cannot choose the same song twice throughout the tournament.
NOTE: Down Loadable Content will only be allowed if BOTH bands agree on the song(s).
Instruments
· All instruments (drums, sticks, guitars, microphone, etc) will be provided however you may bring your own equipment but must follow these guidelines:
Guitarists/Bassists
· All guitarists/bassists may bring their own guitars.
· Any Xbox360 guitar is allowed: Xplorer, Les Paul, Fender.
· Modded guitars are NOT allowed. NO homemade star power buttons/pedals.
Vocalists
All vocalists may bring their own microphones and controllers.
Drummers
· “Defect Correcting” drum mods are allowed. (i.e.: sock mod, gum rubber, tape, penny mod, etc.)
· All drummers may bring their own Bass Pedal and Drumsticks.
· Limited bass pedal mods are allowed.
· Reinforced RB Pedals are allowed. (i.e. “MegaPedal”)
· Reed Relay driven bass pedals are allowed. (i.e. “Lazy Man’s Mod”)
· Practice pad with piezo sensor are allowed. (Only for SINGLE bass pedal.)
· DOUBLE BASS MODS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Prize Structure
-CASH PRIZES given to top two bands.
-If more than 8 bands show up, prizes will be divided amongst top three bands.
-Final cash prize will be determined by number of entries.
Sportsmanship
All teams are expected to show good sportsmanship to the opposing teams. While tournaments are competitive in nature, all participants should be respected. Acts of poor sportsmanship may lead to removal of a team or player from the tournament. There is to be no inappropriate acts or excessive swearing or cursing. Remember this is a family game and we are here to have fun.
